Iconic Omega Speedmaster professional chronograph Ed White in stainless steel with a round black dial. The watch has batons for each hour and three sub dials, 3 o’clock with the minutes, 6 o’clock for hours and 9 o’clock for seconds. At 12 o’clock, there are two dots. Luminous are good. It is a “T Swiss Made T” model. Hands are white with stick shapes. The crown has the Omega logo. The outside black bezel has a tachymetre graduated up to 500. It is a screwed back case in stainless steel with engraved outside the Dragon/Horse design and Speedmaster and inside “Omega Watch Co – Fab Suisse – Swiss Made – Acier Inoxydable – ST 105 003-65”. It is a manual winding movement with caliber 321 and 17 jewels numbered 24.951.846. The watch has a cover between the case and the movement. The lugs on the watch are very nice “Ed White” and the width is 20mm. The watch has not been polished. The watch comes with a stainless steel bracelet with engraved “Omega – Stainless Steel – 1035 – 2 67. The length is 7.5 inches and could be extended up to at least 7.75 inches. It is a beautiful watch in excellent condition mechanically and serviced in 2019. The dial is in mint condition as well as the hands”. The condition of the bezel is good. Overall, the watch is in very good working condition and very collectible. The watch comes with the Omega archive and original Speedmaster box.
The story of Omega started in 1848 with Louis Brandt when he opened a “Comptoir d’etablissement” a sales office for sub-contracted watch manufacture. In 1880, the brothers Louis Paul and Cesar Brandt set-up a modern watch production unit. In 1889, the company had a production of 100,000 units per year. The name of Omega only appeared in 1903. Omega has developed amazing movements such as the “Labrador” in 1885. In 1917, Omega provided watches to the British army and in 1918 to the American army. In 1957, the speedmaster professional was born and then selected by the NASA in 1965 as the official timekeeper. Today, Omega continues to demonstrate mechanical innovation and remain one of the most prominent brands in the world of watchmakers.
Manual winding movement with caliber 321 with 17 jewels, 18,000A/h and 44 hours of power reserve. The functions are 60 seconds, 30 minutes, 12 hours, pillar wheel and sub second. The movement is numbered 24.951.846. It is the base of the Lemania CH27C12. Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet also uses this base caliber. The watch has a cover between the case and the movement.
