Pure aesthetic Breitling Navitimer 806 from 1973 with round black dial and three silver sub dials, seconds at 9 o’clock, hours at 6 o’clock and 30 minutes at 3 o’clock. The watch has an outer gold tachymeter and a gold rotative bezel. It makes a complete navigational instrument on the wrist. A baton except 12 o’clock with Arabic numeral represents each hour. The hands are in gold with a baton shape. The chronograph hand has an arrow. Luminous are find on batons and hands. It is a “T Swiss Made T” model. The back case is in stainless steel with engraved “Stainless Steel back – Breitling – 1225728 - 806”. and the front in gold plated. The watch has a caliber Venus 178 with 17 jewels. The watch comes with a brand-new brown strap with width between lugs of 22mm. It is an original full set with box, warranty and booklet.
Leon Breitling started Breitling in 1884 with his own chronograph. In 1892, Leon built a watch manufacture called “G. Leon Breitling S.A., Montbrillant Watch Factory. In 1914, Gaston Breitling takes over the business and creates the “Vitesse” model. In 1932 Willy Breitling took over his father and creates the “Chronomat” in 1947 and then the “Navitimer” in 1952. In 1962, a Breitling chronograph was catapulted into the space at astronaut Scott Carpenter wrist. Then came the famous caliber 11 in 1969 called “Chronomatic” developed by Breitling and Heuer. The story of Breitling ended in 1979 before being revived by Ernest Schneider in 1982 and managed today by his son Theodore.
